Hi Everyone! How was your week 12/52?

Goal #1: Manage My Eating Disorder

β (4a) Goal accomplished in reading 30 minutes a day for 5 days for Week 12/52. Currently, I’m reading Elizabeth Gilbert’s The Signature of All Things and Morgan Housel’s The Psychology of Money. I’m loving both books which is why I’m reading them at a slower pace to savor them.
π§ (4b) Goal in progress: I will review 6 books in 2022 and post them on this blog.
Book 1/6: Maybe You Should Talk to Someone
Book 2/6: If I Had Your Face

Goal #5: Improve my listening skills
β (5a) Goal accomplished in listening to one Design Matters Podcast for Week 12/52. This week, I relistened to Debbie Millman interview Richard Saul Wurman, founder of TED.
Learning is remembering what you are interested in. My whole life is following my personal path of interest.
Richard Saul Wurman, Design Matters with Debbie Millman
The words a person uses are very telling. From these two sentences, it can be inferred that Richard likely had advantages in life that many people do not.
β (5b) Goal accomplished in listening to one TED talk for Week 12/52. This week I listened to Who are you, really? The puzzle of personality | Brian Little
Brian talks about trait psychology (part of personality science) that describes the five universally held aspects of the differences between people.
- Open versus closed.
- Conscientiousness versus lackadaisical.
- Extroversion versus introversion.
- Agreeable versus not agreeable.
- Nuerotic versus stable.
Together the traits spell out the acronym OCEAN.
Goal #6: Emulate Krista Tippetβs (Winner of the National Humanities Medal, Peabody Awards, Webby Awards) way of speaking.
