
Hi Everyone! How was your week 15/52? Another not-amazing week for me…

Goal #1: Manage My Eating Disorder
β (1) Goal met in eating between 1200 to 1700 calories during the hours of 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM for Week 15/52.
It may seem that I’m doing great in managing my eating disorder but the stats do not show the complete picture. Currently, I’m struggling daily to prevent myself from binge eating.

Goal #2: Become more organized starting Week 2/52
β (2) Goal met for spending 15 to 30 minutes organizing every day using a timer for Week 15/52.
Goal #3: Write consistently
β (3) Goal not met for writing between 2 to 8 hours every day for Week 15/52.
It’s the third week I missed this year! I’m in the process of rewording this goal in order to capture the essence of it going forward and also join a writer’s group.
Goal #4: Read books to gain knowledge and new perspectives
β (4a) Goal met for reading 30 minutes a day for 5 days for Week 15/52. Currently reading Martha Beck’s Steering by Starlight.

Goal #5: Improve my listening skills
β (5a) Goal met for listening to one Design Matters Podcast for Week 15/52. This week, I listened to Debbie Millman interview Massimo Vignelli (legendary graphic designer Massimo Vignelli, creator of the iconic NYC subway map).
Massimo Vignelli used only five fonts during his entire design career: Futura, Times New Roman, Helvetica, Bodoni, and Century. His favorite is Bodoni which is what most high fashion magazines currently use.
β (5b) Goal met for listening to one TED talk for Week 15/52. This week I listened to Get comfortable with being uncomfortable | Luvvie Ajayi Jones.
Keeping things the way they’ve been is comfortable. And all comfort has done is maintain the status quo. So we’ve got to get comfortable with being uncomfortable by speaking these hard truths when they’re necessary.

Goal #7: Learn how to grow microgreens from Mark starting 6/1/2022 (Week 22/52)

β (1b) Goal met for meditating and practicing 25 minutes of yoga 5 to 7 days for Week 15/52.
β (1c) Goal met for lifting weights 3 to 5 days a week for Week 15/52.
β (1d) Goal met for doing a physical activity for Week 15/52.
I played frisbee, attempted to climb a tree, and walked briskly for 1 hour.

I keep failing this goal!
Goal #2: Work on my marriage
β (2a) Goal met for continuing my weekly marriage meeting, financial checkup, and date night with Mark for Week 15/52.

Goal #3: Encourage my mom to expand her worldview starting Week 2/52
β (3a) Goal met for teaching my mom English for Week 15/52.
β (3b) Goal not applicable in practicing Senior Yoga with my mom for Week 15/52.
β (3c) Goal met for teaching my mom how to become more proficient at using her iPhone for Week 15/52.

Goal #5: Remember my late father through cooking starting Week 9/52 on 3/3 (my father’s birthday).
