In my quest for better health, I started eating a tablespoon of walnuts almost daily.
Why walnuts and not almonds, macadamia, cashews, or pecans? It’s because walnuts are by far the highest of the aforementioned nuts in alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), a type of omega-3 essential fatty acid. According to the National Institutes of Health, omega-3 fatty acids increases learning, memory, cognitive well-being, and blood flow in the brain.
This recipe was introduced to me by Mark who loves oven-roasted walnuts. It tastes crispier, fresher, and you have control over the salt and sugar levels. I started eating walnuts for brain health but because this recipe is incredibly delicious, I now truly enjoy the taste.
Best of all it takes 5 min to prep and 15 min to bake. Easy, breezy, delicious oven-roasted walnuts. Yum!
